Dr. Hagan thinks Perry's finger is doing VERY well! He actually said it's the best response to steroid shots that he's ever seen. He also said that when we initially went in to see him, he was thinking she was definitely going to need surgery and now he doesn't think so! Yay! We go back again in 6 months and are supposed to keep an eye on it in the meantime.
Oh, he also said you can tell she's had steroid shots because her cheeks are big. I said, "Are you sure? Look at Ella's cheeks." I'm pretty sure they're from Mommy (and the Pratts), not the steroids. :)
The steroid shots *can* cause growth abnormalities, but because he did it in a localized place (her finger) versus giving her oral medications, the abnormalities should be minimal. I guess it could explain her extremely tiny feet. You know what they say about girls with tiny feet...they wear tiny shoes!
